Putin came to power on the wings of a nationalistic and xenophobia-based following who thought that the former KGB member would 'make Russia great again.' He's an alpha male whose major weakness is pride and losign face.
I'm not saying they are exactly the same. Obviously Putin has an ice-cold demeanor and comes off as way more calculating and clever than Trump does. Trump is clearly makign it up as he goes along, whereas Putin puts thought into his decisions. Of course, Putin is actually a president and Trump is not even close, in my opinion.
I'm only saying that Putin and Trump are both alpha males with strong nationalistic rhetoric that plays upon the xenophobia of their followers and a romantic view of the legendary past. Neither of them are above a bit of vulgarity, either.
But Trump's loud-mouthed vulgarity, his ability to shove his foot into his mouth and down his throat and not give a damn what you think about that reminds me much more of Berlusconi, the billionaire tycoon who held power in Italy for more than a decade.j
