Game of Thrones: How long does it take Yara and Theon to travel from the Iron Islands to Volantis?

Song of Ice and Fire is literature and tries to keep things plausible(though GRRM is not above doing some teleportation himself, when the plot demands it: He tries, but he is no Tolkien when it comes to logistics.)
Game of Thrones is drama. Only the people and their relationships and conflicts matter. They left in episode 4. So it took roughly a two weeks in real world time.
We book readers like to joke about travel times in the series, because it really is implausible.
The Iron Islands are in the indentation of Westeros in the middle left part, right under “Cornwall” in the northern Britain-looking part of the continent.
Volantis is at the mouth of the long tree-like river in Essos. At the South, at the roughly Mediterrannean coast, West of Valyria/broken Greece in the South. That’s a long voyage. It would take months.
Even assuming several weeks have gone by, if you examine the times, especially as they relate to other storylines,  it is ridiculously wonky and off-kilter.
Just handwave it away because plausibility is right out the window when it comes to travelling. Just forget about it. Accept it.
Remember that the point of drama is human interaction and human conflict.
