Game of Thrones: Was that really Arya stabbed by the Waif?

I don’t know what to think. A Show has gotten very good at turning my head around this season. So here are the theories and the evidence and counterarguments and thoughts thrown in.

1. Arya is tricking them. In my opinion, the best theory I’ve read is that it was actually Arya, only she was baiting the Faceless Men, especially “A Bitch.” And that she isn’t injured as badly as it seems and in fact, might be faking it. Her journey through the city, gut a-bleeding,is to further draw A Man and A Bitch after her to complete the job. Then when they come down on her in some dark alley she takes them out with Needle.
1. The problem with this theory is that Arya used her right hand to throw the coins on the table. And we all know that Arya is left-handed.
1. And even if normally A Show doesn’t care about such details, we also know that Arya has been painstakingly shown as left-handed pretty consistently. Still maybe this is detail is just a minor continuity error and means nothing.
2. The “Arya” is A Man theory makes some sense, but we have to do a lot of supposin’ about A Man’s motivations with little to no evidence.
1. For example, perhaps he’s decided to die in Arya’s place.
1. Why? Because one way or another a face must be added to the Wall—but, then why not just kill the actress already and take her face? Why is that out just because Arya warned her? They’ve got a reputation to maintain.
2. Another theory is that A Man values Arya over A Bitch(for whatever reasons) and wants to take A Bitch out.
1. Why do it this way, by pretending to be Arya? Why not just kill A Bitch? And, uh, if that was the plan, it didn’t work out very well, did it?
3. It is some test to see if A Bitch can put aside her emotions and kill Arya with a minimum of suffering.
1. The problem with this idea is…who cares about A Bitch’s trials? Arya is the important one to the story.
3. Arya is An Old Lady/A Bitch.
1. It is some final test for Arya: Arya must kill Arya. It is symbolic. A Bitch, presumably pretending to be Arya, knows not of this test.
1. . No evidence for this. Surely we’d be shown some clue to this if this was the case.
2. And why is a Bitch pretending to be Arya?
4. Benioff and Weiss are bad writers who went for a cheap thrill at the expense of character.
1. It wouldn’t be the first time.

Originally, I was sure that it was option 4 but now I’m going for option 1 .
