Game of Thrones: How will Tormund Giantsbane react to Jon Snow's assassination?

Since you mentioned Alliser Thorne, we're not talking about the books.
Its worth noting that Show Tormund and Book Tormund are very different characters. Book Tormund being much older, much more lustful, funnier and jovial, a born bullshitter.

Anyway, I don't think that Tormund is going to be driven to vengeance by it. He may be titularly in charge of the Wildlings, but they are not really a governable bunch and, even though Jon Snow has made himself de facto King-Beyond-the-Wall, I don't think his death will drive them to any particular insurrection.
I would think that his death would free them in a way, and being on the south side of the Wall, and greatly outnumbering the Castle Black garrison(and indeed, the whole of the Night's Watch) I reckon they will all just feel free to move south to (literally) greener pastures.
That would be logical; and I think that's what's going to happen in the book.
The show will go with whatever works best dramatically without regard to sense. Show likes vengeance. So I think there might be hell to pay in the show.
