Why is Kasich not getting more support in the GOP?

Too. Many. Candidates.
This is not a normal year.
There are a ton of candidates and Trump is skewing everything.
Because Trump dominated for so long, none of the other candidates have dropped out.Because they knowthat Trump's presecnce has seriously  skewed things and they expect that sooner or later, a following is going to coalesce around someone who isn't Trump.
So support that he might have gained when other candidates dropped out just hasn't happened.
Other than that it feels like Kasich is long on substance but short on flash. In a race with Trump(lots of flash and personality), Rubio(boring but young, good-looking son of immigrants), Christie(personality plus) and Cruz(clever, uber-asshole--some people like that!) he just doesn't fly out of the screen and into voters hearts.
And that's not even getting into the idea that he's likely to win against Sanders or Clinton. He MIGHT get more votes than some others because he's relatively moderate.
But I think the presidential election is the Democrats' to lose.
In a normal year, Kasich would be doing better than he is. Though I still doubt he'd win. It may sound stupid, but he just...looks like a governor. WE haven't a guy who looked like a governor in office since Jimmy.
(Carter, that is.)
As it is Kasich has pretty much been  just the smallest and greyest of the pygmies congregating around the giant-sized Trump.
And if I knew how to use photoshop at all, I'd put a picture showing exactly that here.
