Do you think that Season 6 of Game of Thrones will have a Red Wedding-style shocker, where things go wrong for the good guys?

Game of Thrones Season 6 appears to be building towards three big confrontations:
  1. The much-ballyhoo’d Battle of the Bastards, which will be loosely based on the Battle of the Snow in the smash hit novelization The Winds of Winter
    1. Jon and Sansa will unite the Wildlings and some other Northern houses
    2. Littlefinger’s army will play a part.
    3. it might be possible that one of the heroes could die here, but I find it unlikely that it will be Jon Snow. It could be Sansa, if they’re going to do anything to make the audience’s jaws drop.
    4. Rickon’s toast, though. He’s such a minor character though that that doesn’t really go down Red Wedding Style.
  1. The Battle of Meereen: Tyrion’s peace plan will fail, probably because the whores he gifted to the slavers will murder them. Certain war. But don’t worry, Dany and her Dothraki army will arrive and there will be dragons fighting. This is going to be a major spectacle.
    1. The Free Cities will be on one side.
    2. On the other side there will be Unsullied, Danys Dothraki Horde and the Ironborn(led by Euron? Led by Theon?)
    3. Dragons will play a part in this, too. It’s going to be big
  1. The Battle against the Faith: this will not be a big set-piece battle like the others, mainly because I think that the show-runners wouldn’t pull off a ‘medieval urban warfare’ scene very well. But the wild card might be the people of King’s Landing themselves joining forces with the Faith: I think they are foreshadowing a bloody revolution and there seems to be a sort of religious Marxist theme going on with the High Sparrow.. This will probably result in Tommen’s death. I expect Margaery and Loras to die this season anyway.
I think I saw David Bradley (WalderFrey)
in one of the trailers.
There havee been fan theories for years about a Red Wedding 2.0: Riverrun Editiononly involving a Frey marriage. That is book world though. And this would definitely not be what you’re talking about as it would see Walder Frey getting whats’ coming to him. However, it may happen—perhaps that’s what Arya’s arc is aiming towards.
The main shocker I can imagine—and this is not a prediction—is that maybe a major character like Jaime could bite it here. My feeling is that the Lannisters are in it ’til the end, though.
So basically, out of the big players(Jon, Arya, Sansa, Bran, Dany, Tyrion, and the Lannister Twins) I think Sansa is the most likely to die: not that I’m predicting it. But if they want to shock us big time, that’s where I think they will go.
Hopefully the spectacle of the battles will be enough that they won’t have to go there.
